We loved the shoot. Emily made us all feel totally relaxed and was great at being creative to engage our two pocket rocket boys (with props, conversation and changing the setting regularly). Emily certainly brought out the best in the boys and we all enjoyed it enormously, which was unexpected for a photo shoot!
We're absolutely delighted with our photos - the only hard bit was choosing our favourites!
The children wanted to dress up as angels for our family christmas card, and here are some when they posed as both good and bad angels..
Sometimes I'm asked to take photos whilst babies/toddlers play, and other times I take more posed shots (such as those I took to celebrate the Megan, Madison and Logan's first birthday)
I prefer to take shots, where families are most comfortable, for example I spent a morning with the Godmans in Wandsworth.
Every weekend morning, they have a Godman sandwich, which is one of the shots I've chosen to show here. They have a gorgeous couple of cheeky girls..
"We all enjoyed the photo shoot with Emily so much. Emily was great fun and very calm with our two very over excited daughters, who immediately fell in love with her! Emily helped to relax us all and came up with lots of interesting and fun ideas. It was a really playful and happy experience. We loved all our photos!!" Katie Godman.
"We couldn't have asked for a better photographer or way to spend my son's fifth birthday. We were keen to have shots that were natural and fun, as well as, having a few that were more posed. Emily worked incredibly hard and well with our group giving suggestions and ways to get the best variety of shots. It's never easy keeping up with the temperaments of two active boys and one who'd much rather be having cake by the end of the shoot! But Emily took her time and went with the flow - a crucial skill when dealing with little people! She has managed to capture my boys in a way that is unique to their personality and our family in a way which represents us a whole load of love and chaos!! Thank you so much we will treasure these shots." Asifa
Lila was just 3 weeks old when I took these photos, very sweet and already opening her eyes... It's lovely to capture the fragility of a newborn, and the instant bond between mother and baby.
Sven's family invited me to take photos of him on Clapham common when he was 6 weeks. He wasn't keen to wake up but in the last 10 minutes did and we managed to get lots of great shots with his eyes open in those last minutes..
I mainly photograph families out and about, but am equally happy to take shots in the studio.
I took some shots of Debora with her little girl Julia in the studio, during a morning session. Debora, has a great face, very expressive.
"Thank you for the wonderful pictures. You did such an amazing job in capturing the warmth between mother and child in a unique way. I know it is hard to get pictures when both mother & child are relaxed and at ease, and you managed to do just that. Will definitely recommend you to my friends!"
I spent a morning with the Nangles in Clapham and took lots of photographs of their day to day lives for a memory book which they've taken back with them to Ireland. We did some of the things they've most enjoyed doing whilst in London.
"We had a very easy and enjoyable morning with Emily. She was able to keep the whole session relaxed and easy going which was especially important with three children in tow. The memory photo book Emily created for us captured our London life perfectly. We will cherish it now and probably even more in years to come".
A dog or cat is a cherished part of any family and shouldn't be forgotten.. Here's some of our lovely four legged friends I've photographed.
